Stress. Obstacles. One step forward, two steps back.
We all have our moments, days and maybe even seasons where we feel like all we ever do isn’t going the way we expected.
As many of you know, I moved to Austin, TX last week and my wife, Brandi will be here Saturday! We’re moving into a one bedroom apartment in southwest Austin, working full time jobs and helping Jesus and Audra with a church plant called Vintage.
We look and see many great, excited things on this new adventure. However, it hasn’t been all fun and games. It hasn’t been what we would call a ‘smooth transition’.
As soon as I land in Austin, I get a text from my wife saying she’s been in an car accident three hours away from home. I had mixed feelings about being in this new city, what is to be our new home. Excitement was all over, but that was immediately pushed aside as all I wanted to do was go back to Rockford and help my wife.
Having to find jobs, a new place to live and now a new car with money we don’t have, hasn’t been what I planned. Enough of the real talk, my purpose wasn’t to complain and for you to feel for our transition. Let’s get to the point here.
Maybe you’re not going through a major move like us, but there are things that are not going the way you may have expected. You feel like everything isn’t going as planned in life currently.
Remember why. Remember why you are doing what you are currently doing. Remember who you’re doing it for.
The peace of God transcends above all else. He is faithful till the end. And as far as I know, this isn’t the end.
Maybe some of you have never experience the peace of God or maybe you question His faithfulness. Maybe you are having a hard time believing He’s in control.
I want to challenge you, for 60 days to begin a new adventure with God. Go into the next season of life remembering God is there and if you don’t see God’s faithfulness or experience His peace in the midst of it all, you can go back to doing what you’ve been doing. *Spoiler Alert, His faithfulness and peace, may not be what you are expecting, but it’s there.
So when you’re stressed and everything keeps blocking your way, Remember Why.
