If you read Genesis through Numbers, you’ll see the journey of God’s chosen people, the Israelites. You will also see how they have been disobedient to the Lord. That they have leaders like Moses, who hears directly from God (which at the time only certain people could) and they still don’t listen. God lead them out of Egypt, no longer were they slaves. God parted the Red Sea and delivered them from the Pharaoh. God provided them with food, bread from heaven, manna. God led them by a cloud at day and a pillar of fire by night. God gave them water from a rock. God did all these things for them, and was leading them to the promise land, a land flowing with milk and honey. And yet they STILL chose to go their own way, they still complained, they still disobeyed.
What’s it going to take for you? Are you going to be obedient only when you see God do something? Or are you going to step out in faith and be obedient. His love is enough for us to be obedient no matter what.
So I challenge you to see what God has been doing on your life, see where He has been moving around you and take advantage of that. But I also challenge you to love Him with everything, to be obedient. No matter the cost.
