If you read towards the end of Exodus and Leviticus, you will read about how there is a structure of how to be forgiven of your sins, how to get atonement for sin. There were all these rules and regulations that God had told Moses that had to be done in order to be forgiven.
I won’t go into details, but the tabernacle was to be build in a specific way, burnt offerings were to be done in a certain way, etc. For example, they had to put their hand on the animal (which had to be a specific kind, specific age, without defect, etc.) to represent that the animal was taking place of them and their sins.
Now if you read through all this in the Bible, it can be quite boring, but you know what I noticed. I am so THANKFUL that we don’t have to go through and do all of that. And it’s only because of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He went to the cross and paid off ALL of our sins, something not even the burnt offerings could do.
The veil was torn, He screamed out, ‘It is finished’. Only because of that can we experience God’s presence everywhere and not have to be a priest. Take advantage of that. Experience His grace and mercy as you go to Him. Deepen that relationship you can now have, that you, yourself can go to Him.
He’s waiting. With open arms.
